To ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, especially our children, St. John Family Camp is required by the Diocese of the West and the Orthodox Church in America to implement mandatory background checks for all participants aged 18 and older.
Policy Details:
Requirement: All individuals aged 18 and older attending St. John Family Camp must complete a background check.
Process: The background check is a simple, online process that takes approximately 2 minutes to complete. Instructions and a link to the online system will be provided upon registration, prior to camp.
Cost: St. John Family Camp will cover the cost of the background check for all required participants.
Confidentiality: All information obtained through the background check process will be kept confidential and used solely for the purpose of ensuring compliance with the diocesan and OCA mandates and maintaining a safe camp environment.
Compliance: Completion of the background check is a mandatory condition of participation for all adults aged 18 and over. Failure to complete the background check may result in inability to attend the camp.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and secure environment for everyone at St. John Family Camp.
If you have any questions regarding this policy or the background check process, please contact registrar@stjohncamp.org.
